Through Rotary Switzerland a new charity has been launched to support the work of the Water Survival Box Charity which is currently based in the United Kingdom. I had the privilege of being invited to be one of the founding members of the charity. It was a beautiful sunny evening last Thursday in Luzern when Rotary founded the Swiss Water Survival Box. It was somewhat ironic, considering the suffering of the victims of the hurricane in the Caribbean. Thanks to the hard work of their members they have raised enough money to send 220 boxes to Hurricane victims in the Caribbean. Already plans are being made to dispatch 500 boxes which will be flown into the island of St Croix and then distributed to Tortola, St Martins, St Barth, Turks and Caicos and Anguilla. These boxes can’t come soon enough as access to clean drinking water and shelter is very limited or nonexistent. It is with the help of the Rotary and the donations from the public that we can help these people. Please check out the Water Survival Box Charity and see how you can help by making a donation. I am very happy that there are still kind and generous people who can really want to help all the victim of calamities in exchange for nothing. I know that they have personal wants and need, but their priorities more to form an organized charity that can help many homeless and hopeless people. Please continue doing good deeds and good things will happen soon to all of you. Being surprised is a great feeling to have. If you are someone who never gets surprised, then your life must be really boring. In my opinion, what makes life so fun is the fact that it is very unpredictable. You can never really guess what will happen next. I know that this thought may be scary for other people, but that is just because you are afraid of change. Once you understand how great it is, then I am sure that you will have a better life.
